Hello friends! How have you been? It’s been a little while since I’ve posted, but I’ve been a busy little beaver decorating for Christmas around here. Yup, I’m one of those people who decorates for Christmas in November. Sorry if you are still doing Fall and pumpkins and all that jazz. In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in early October, so I… Read More
Hello my friends, and happy (almost) Valentine’s Day! I love Valentines Day for a bunch of reasons, but mostly because I love all things pink. I find it fun to play around with pink accents in our home in February, as it’s a colour that I don’t normally use in the main area of our home. If there’s one thing… Read More
Happy 2015,my lovelies! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season. I took an extended break from blogging for a month or so to relax with my sweet family. Better late than never, right? I finally managed to do a little last minute Valentines Day decorating over the past few days. Things have been busy-busy here lately, and if you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed I was away for a few days last week. I thought I might be able to swing right past the 14th without the kids noticing that the only heart to be found around here is on our front door. So far, January has been taken up with all kinds of not-so-fun non-blogging activities: Christmas de-decorating, toy organization, winter storms and power outages (ughhh), and an extended Christmas holiday for our kids (due to the storms and outages).
Now that the kids are back into their routines, I’m focused on getting the house back on track! After 3 straight months of looking at seasonal decor, I always need a little winter decorating detox. The Fall is a seasonal decorator’s dream, and I crave it! Pumpkins, bats, turkeys, boughs, and berries – all with more glitter than a Dancing With the Stars costume. It’s all a whole lot of fun while it happens. But there’s only so much glitter and clutter that my brain can process! READ MORE
