Lynette, anything you do is going to be stunning; red, or no red! But your vision sounds beautiful. I hope you’ll post lots of pics to your blog. The netting (sinamay) came from Christmas Warehouse, but this year, I seem to see it EVERYWHERE. I’m not sure if you have Bowring or if that’s just a Canadian thing? Anyway, they have white/silver there. I’ve also seen it at Hallmark Stores in a bunch of colours. I just bought some there in red/white striped for the Dr. Seuss tree I plan to do in the basement for the kiddies! Such fun! Thanks for coming by!! Talk soon, Kerri

So, my vote is to see the natural, red Christmas! I just know you will make it beautiful, and with some of the red you added to your house this year, I think you can make it work. Red and turquoise look great together! Hmmm…maybe I can mix some of it in! I miss a beautiful red and green Christmas 🙂 I am sorry I tossed a lot of my red decor, though most was probably out of style anyway. Happy decorating!!!

I LOVED your decor last year, and I would love to see the natural route this year too. I hear you….I have been loving the natural evergreens, white and cream. I’m still staying away from red though, not because I don’t like it, but because there is nothing red in my house, and it just looks too overdone and out of place if I add red. I bought a bunch of blue ornaments last year, but I think they are going to stay in their boxes. I am still doing a bit of sparkle, but more understated. Lots of real evergreens, soft creamy ribbon, and antique silver accents. That’s the vision…not sure I have the inventory to pull it off though, ha ha! Might have to do a little more shopping!!! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us…I am sure it will be spectacular! Oh…where did you get the sparkly netting on your tree last year? Can’t seem to find anything like that here!
