I’m crazy about craftsman-style exteriors. We recently made some updates to builder-grade, suburban home to reflect this style that I love so much.

If you stick around here, you’ll quickly see that I’m coo-coo about blue.  I love blue because it’s soothing, and it pairs well with neutrals and so many other colours. On our open concept main floor, we have a palette of neutrals with hits of blue and a little sparkle here!

 

I also love mixing traditional style with more modern lines.  I guess you could best describe my interior decorating style as modern cottage/transitional.


Actually, I love mixing all kinds of opposites!  I find it just gives a room a richer story to tell. Our living room is a contrast of soft colours and textures, against more striking black and white artwork.

I love to decorate our home for the seasons and holidays, especially Christmas.

 

We recently built a summer home on the water, and it has more of a rustic feel than our main home, but still has clean, modern lines.  I was inspired by all things navy and nautical in building this home.
